Monday Night Trap League Update

The registered trap shooters continue to pound targets, Troy Christensen, Randy Ciavarelli, John Turks, Jim Christensen and Mark Hunt are getting ready for the state trap shoot held in Cedar Falls the week of July 18th thur July 23. If you run into them, wish them luck.

At the Ventura Zone shoot, Hunt won his class winning a spot on the state zone team which will compete against other zones the week of the state shoot. Good luck Mark.

At the Minnesota Handicap Championship, Christensen won a yard shooting a 96 out of 100, tying for first. Troy is back to the 24 yard line now, excited and preparing for the state trap shoot

The 4th of July shoot in Cedar Rapids paid out $1,000 to the winner of handicap. The RCR&P boys didn't win but in the 16 yard singles Ciavarelli placed second in his class shooting a 98 out of 100. Christensen had a rough start but finished up with 50 straight. Hunt shot a respectable 94 at the 22 line during handicap. Keep it going Boys.



Women on Target

Women on Target was held on July 29, 2017. 51 women participated that day in fivd different stations: Pistol, Rifle, Trap Shooting, Archery and Self Defense.

Weather was perfect and the grounds looked really nice that day. There were at least 25 club members who participated as volunteers that day and Raquel Zbornik did an excellent job putting it all together. -CC

Monday nights 4:30 PM for trap and pistol league Wednesday nights 4:00 PM high power shoot

Tuesday nights Aug 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th will be used by boy scouts. Aug 6th at 1:00 pm 22 silhouette shoot on

Aug 19th sat morning the boy scouts will start at 8:00 am range will be open. Aug 12th is state service rifle match

Aug 13th is the Iowa state rifle match

All shoots are open to the public Except the boy scouts
