Update from the President- Andy Hill

Our annual election will be held at our upcoming December meeting. Nominating Committee chair, Rod Haag, has been accepting nominations for the following two year positions; Vice President, Secretary, Range Officer, and two directorships. Nominations will accepted from the floor at the meeting and will remain open until the final ballot.

This year four of the the volunteers on our Board have decided to either retire or seek a different position. Vice President Chad Colby, Secretary Trish Rasmusson and Director Layton Zbornik are retiring as their current terms end. Al Larsen is retiring from the Range Officer position and has thrown his hat in the ring for a Director's position. Please join me in thanking each of them for their service to our club and congratulating them on a good well done.

Silhouette League Report by Dean Kramer

Twelve shooters participated in this summer’s .22 silhouette league. That’s a drop of 4 from last year, but still pretty good. We managed to get all 4 matches in without a rainout, but the wind was nasty on a couple.

Aurora Kramer took the first match with a 12. Matt Smith and Steve Kramer tied for a second with 7 each. Match number 2 saw Steve Kramer with a 9 for first, Aurora was points followed by Chris Farghum with 11 and Dean Kramer with 8. The final match had Aurora with 11, and Dad and Grandpa tied for second with 6 points each.

This year’s league results are a repeat of 2016. When a shooter’s top 2 scores were added together, Aurora Kramer was the champion again with a top score of 24. Steve Kramer was second with 16 and yours truly had 14 points for third.

Bring your .22 out next summer and join us.

Executive Officer Report- Rod Haag

This month we will have elections coming up. The following are up for election Vice President, Secretary, two Directors and Range Officer. Chad Colby, Trish Rasmusson and Layton Zbornik have said they are not going to run again. Alf Larson is stepping down as ranger officer but has said he will run as a director. The nominations are open until the Club meeting Thursday, Dec.7, 2017.

I am looking to have more people sign up for our sponsor program. I am planning on holding a class on Jan 13 and Feb 3, 2018. I will also be starting a shooting/range schedule for 2018 after Feb 1st and would like to have the first one ready by the March Gun Show.

Thanks and looking forward to another great shooting season
