Statement from the President- Andy Hill

It is with humble respect that I am tendering my resignation as president of the River City Rifle & Pistol Club. I have been elected to serve on the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation's Board of Directors. This commitment will makes it so that I am unable to serve our club as president with a performance level that is due that office. I will continue to be a member of our club and will be available as a resource for the board, the members and the club.

My resignation will be effective at the adjournment of the January 4th meeting. We will be holding a special election for president during the new business portion of that meeting.

Nominations are open from now until the election. Please consider how you or a fellow member may fit the roll of RCRPC president.

"The purpose of the River City Rifle & Pistol Club is to promote civilian marksmanship, proper gun safety, competitive spirit, conservation of natural resources, and to provide a safe place to shoot."

Need for a range officer. The range office position was not filled during the regular meeting in December. We will be continuing to accept nominations at the January meeting and will hold the election during old business.

2018 is the 50th anniversary of the founding of the River City Rifle & Pistol Club. We are currently working on plans to host a celebration sometime during the summer. We will be putting together a planning committee during the January meeting. Please look through your storage for photos, awards and other memorabilia to help us commemorate this great event.

Executive Officer Report- Rod Haag

I am looking to have more people sign up for our sponsor program. I am planning on holding a class on Jan 13 and Feb 3, 2018. I will also be starting a shooting/range schedule for 2018 after Feb 1st and would like to have the first one ready by the March Gun Show.

Thanks and looking forward to another great shooting season
